Demi Lovato has had quite a turbulent year; in May, she was honored for her work in raising awareness for mental health issues, but just a month later she lost her father, with whom she had a strained relationship. Now, some people claiming to be friends of a young woman Lovato allegedly had a sexual relationship with are shopping around nude photos they say are of the star, and at least one gossip site is very interested.

Around 20 photos were sent to RadarOnline–a site which ultimately passed on buying–that show a young, dark haired beauty who looks quite a bit like Lovato striking various nude poses. Some of them show the former Disney Channel star’s well-known tattoos, but some say those look digitally manipulated.

“These are Demi. The collection I have show some nude, including face, some including parts of the body Demi is known for — tattoos, butt, chin. Then, I have pictures of her getting rowdy… I can guarantee you these photos are legitimately of Demi,” the source told RadarOnline.

Another site, Celebslam, is reportedly interested in the pics and may well publish them.

“After Demi got with Wilmer [Valderrama] our friend called it off because she didn’t like being played, she sent me these pictures that Demi sent her as a joke and I have no use for them,” Celeblam quoted the source as saying. “There are about 20 total, not all have indication they are of her except some have her tattoos in ones you cannot see the face.”

If the photos prove to be legit, they could cause problems for Lovato’s career; she’s still a judge on “The X-Factor” and has signed on to do several episodes of “Glee” this fall, and a nude pic scandal is rarely good press. However, HollywoodLife.com says that “X-Factor” producers intend to stand by her.
