  • Dell has announced the release of three new all-in-one PCs to compete with the upcoming iMac line.

The three PCs will be the XPS One 27, the Inspiron One 23, and the Inspiron One 20. See any similarities here? Dell will use the term “One” for all of its realeases, perhaps trying to gain the kind of buzz word clout that Apple has with “Mac”.

The largest of these is the XPS One 27, that boasts a 27 inch 2560×1440 HD 16:9 WLED display. Inside is an Intel quad-core processor with “Turbo Blast”. The design features one chord plug-and-play, with a wireless keyboard and mouse and four USB ports.

    Sounds like a Mac.

    Looks like a Mac.

The XPS One 27 offers a choice between third generation Intel Core i5-3450 and Core i7-3770 processor options, plus Intel HD 4000 integrated graphics with an optional Nvidia GeForce GT 640M 2GB DDR5ii discrete graphics card.

With the Inspiron One 23, you choose between second and third generation Intel processors, the Intel Core i3-2120 3.3GHz, Core i5-2400 3.3GHz and Core i7-3770, with Intel HD 4000 graphics.

The Inspiron One 20 has second generation Intel processor options, the Intel Sandy Bridge Pentium dual-core G620T 2.2GHz or second generation Core i3-2120T 2.6GHz processor.

The XPS One 27 will retail at $1,399, the Inspiron One 23 at $749, and the Inspiron One 20 at $529. This of course reflects the base price. Upgraded hardware will cost more. The price of the top model is comparable to the iMac, so if you prefer Windows, or any non-Apple OS this is the option for you. The lesser models are a good option for those that want an all in one, but can’t afford Apple.

They are available today in the U.S.
