  • Def Leppard and Kiss may be a couple of bands that many people have not heard too much about in recent years, but they will be touring together later this year.

Two of the biggest rock bands of all time are set to share a stage together, a fact that should make all of their fans even more excited for summertime. The two bands are known for their hits of the past, but continue to be popular with some fans.

The two rock bands are set to begin their tour in June, and according to Jambands.com, Def Leppard and Kiss will be following in the footsteps of two other big rock bands, Nine Inch Nails and Soundgarden, who did something similar.

Def Leppard’s collaboration with rock legends Kiss will last for 42 shows, and span a time of two months on the road, from June until August. Their first tour date will be on June 23, at the USANA amphitheater in West Valley City, Utah. It will conclude on August 31, at the Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion, located in Houston, Texas.

Paul Stanley of Kiss spoke about the tour in a recent interview when he said “We’re living in a time now where everyone wants more for their money, and that’s understandable. So, when you can get two bands to collaborate together, we couldn’t pick a better band for this tour than Def Leppard to go out with us.”

In other news related to the bands, Kiss is set to be inducted into the Rock And Roll Hall of Fame next month, with 2014 marking their 40th anniversary as a band. Def Leppard has been in the studio recently in order to record new music.

The two bands will be partnering with various military companies for the tour to support U.S. troops, including the United Service Organizations Inc. and Hiring Our Heroes.

Despite the fact that they will be touring together all summer, Joe Elliot from Def Leppard said that it is unlikely that they will share the stage at the same time. However, it could still happen, since he did not completely deny it.

Tickets for the tour that will feature powerhouse rock bands Def Leppard and Kiss will go on sale on Friday.
