  • Boy Meets World fans who were hoping that somehow Cory and Topanga would end up together in real life are in for a bit of a disappointment. Former Boy Meets World star Danielle Fishel tied the knot over the weekend, but not to Ben Savage. Not to worry, though–Cory and Topanga will be onscreen again soon enough in Disney’s spinoff, Girl Meets World.

The 32-year-old who last played Topanga Lawrence more than a decade ago (yes, it has really been that long) married her love of five years, Tim Belusko, in Los Angeles on Saturday. Two hundred guests were in attendance at the wedding at former cathedral Vibiana in L.A. According to E!, Lawrence’s former onscreen love interest, Savage, was there for the nuptials.

Fishel met her new husband, who is a few years younger than her, when she went back to college at age 27. “I did so well in math, I even became a tutor. And that is how I met my fiancé,” she posted to her Tumblr page when she announced her engagement back in December.

Rider Strong, who played Shawn Hunter on Boy Meets World, wasn’t at Danielle Fishel’s wedding yesterday, but he had a pretty good reason. He got married yesterday, too. “Bad news…so I’m missing some of my Boy Meets World family (that was my fault, [Danielle] chose the date first),” Strong joked in a statement to ABC.

Danielle Fishel, Ben Savage and William Daniels (Mr. Feeny) are a few of the Boy Meets World alum who have signed on for the spinoff Girl Meets World. The new show hits Disney in 2014.

Are you looking forward to Girl Meets World? Respond below. And for now, enjoy Eric Matthews’ (Will Friedle) Feeny call. Even though Friedle hasn’t been confirmed to join the cast of Girl Meets World, the Feeny call never gets old. Never.
