  • As an up and coming celebrity whose parents are already stars, Dakota Johnson is slowly coming to grips with her sudden rise to fame that came with her portrayal of Anastasia Steele in the upcoming adaptation of E.L. James’ massively popular Fifty Shades of Grey book. While Dakota is worried about letting her famous parents Melanie Griffith and Don Johnson see her working it in the bedroom, the 25-year-old actress is easing up to the idea of letting them see her performance in the film.

“I’m starting to think that maybe they can. And if they get uncomfortable, they can leave,” Johnson told USA Today. “I would love for them to see what I’ve been working on so quietly.” It might be the steamy sex scenes or the titillating bondage sequences that might cause a slight discomfort to her parents, but her famous mom and pop are no stranger to the demands of working in Hollywood. Don Johnson recently appeared in A Good Old Fashioned Orgy and Griffith made a steamy turn in Body Double.

When Johnson was asked about her kinky scenes, she proudly said that she doesn’t feel ashamed of her body. “I think more women should be less ashamed of their bodies. It’s an empowering thing,” she said. “Obviously it’s a scary thing that a lot of people in the world will see me completely naked. But it’s not me.”

Johnson revealed that she did a lot of cardio and running to prepare for her role. “I wanted Ana’s body to look like that of a fairly active college student,” she said to Access Hollywood. She also worked out alongside co-star Jamie Dornan who shared the same diet with her.

Fifty Shades of Grey is set to debut at the Berlin International Film Festival before opening worldwide this weekend. The film is already the fastest selling R-rated film in history according to Fandango and analysts are expecting the film to earn more than $60 million on its first weekend.
