  • Hole frontwoman Courtney Love has had her share of headlines over the years. In the ’90s, when her band hit its stride and sold millions of albums, her talent was overshadowed by rumors of wrongdoing involving her husband–Nirvana singer Kurt Cobain–and his tragic suicide. When she made the move to film and starred alongside Woody Harrelson in 1996 in “The People Vs. Larry Flint“, fans and moviegoers were wowed not only by her performance, but by the transformation she’d made from grungy babydoll to glam goddess. It seemed things were about to change in a positive way for the star…but it didn’t last long. Soon enough she began showing up in public exhibiting questionable behavior, prompting the resurrection of rumors that she was on drugs. In 2004 she was arrested after tossing a microphone stand into the audience at a show and striking someone in the head, which led to a reckless endangerment charge.

Now Love, who is notoriously outspoken, is claiming her husband’s ex-bandmate and frontman for the Foo Fighters, Dave Grohl, hit on her 19-year old daughter with Cobain, Francis Bean…and she’s not happy about it.

Claiming she heard the story from “reliable sources”, Love tweeted several times last night about the musician and how she would like to “kill him” and, in another tweet, said she’d like to “shoot him, dead”. She went on to add that Grohl is “sexually obsessed” with Kurt and listed several reasons to back up her claim. Love’s Twitter account has been blocked from public view, but the folks at Gawker put together her comments about Grohl before they were made unavailable.

Love has had issues with Grohl for years and has never been shy about voicing them:

Grohl, in turn, hasn’t hidden his dislike for his friend’s wife and even filed a legal motion in 2002 to get her to seek psychiatric help during their battle over rights to unreleased Nirvana songs.

Is another battle in the works for these two? Somehow I don’t think Dave will take this lying down.
