Ciara received the ultimate birthday present over the weekend! Her boyfriend, Future, who she has been dating for over a year, proposed while they were out celebrating for her 28th birthday with a 15-carat diamond ring.

29-year-old, Future (his real name is Nayvadius D. Wilburn ) said he knew Ciara was the one for him when he first saw her seven years ago. “For it to come around and happen, it was just meant to be,” he said. “This the one.”

It seems as though Ciara has the same feelings towards Future considering she accepted the gorgeous ring and then took to Twitter to show her excitement. She wrote, “Today Has 2 Be Like One Of The Sweetest Days Of My Life!” and “If I’m Dreaming I Don’t Want To Wake Up..Aaaaaahhh!!!:)”

“She’s a beautiful woman, amazing, incredible, everything that comes with those words, that’s what she represents.” Future said in an interview in February. “I love music, she loves music. And we love being in the studio with each other. We love being around each other and that’s just what it is. The chemistry is there. It’s amazing. She makes me happy, I make her smile.”
