It has officially been confirmed that Christina Aguilera will be returning to her big red chair for season eight of NBC’s singing competition The Voice.

“OFFICIAL ANNOUNCEMENT: Say HELLO to your Season 8 coaches! @adamlevine @Pharrell @xtina @blakeshelton #TheVoice,” The Voice’s official Twitter page wrote on Tuesday, October 14, after Carson Daily revealed the news earlier that day on the Today show.

Christina will be joining longtime coaches Adam Levine and Blake Shelton, and season seven newcomer, singer and producer Pharrell Williams. Gwen Stefani, who is currently serving as a coach, will not be returning for the next season, which is set to air in Spring 2015.

Aguilera took a hiatus from the show for the current season, which is currently airing the pre-recorded battle rounds and will soon be airing the live shows, to focus on her pregnancy with her daughter Summer Rain. Christina and her fiancé Matt Rutler welcomed their second child in August, and now she is ready to get back to work.

The Beautiful singer also took to Twitter to announce the exciting news. “New baby. New Music. New season of @NBCtheVoice. Bringing #FireAndFun to all, can’t wait for 2015!” she tweeted.

The Voice airs on Monday and Tuesday at 8 p.m. ET on NBC.
