  • Sixty-year-old supermodel Christie Brinkley recently attended the Barbie Celebrates The 50th Anniversary Of Sports Illustrated Swimsuit party where she looked like a real-life version of the internationally-celebrated Mattel doll. With long, blonde curls and a bright smile, Brinkley mirrored the image of the popular doll. The blonde model-turned-powerhouse-guru appeared on the cover of Sports Illustrated Swimsuit roughly thirty-five years ago yet still looks as flawless now as she did then.

Barbie has recently been recognized in the 2014 Sports Illustrated swimsuit issue, which is currently available for purchase in stores. The party served as a means to further promote the doll’s appearance in the famous magazine. The fancy event took place on Monday in New York City and included a list of well-known recognizable beauties. Model Irina Shayk, Carol Alt, Rachel Hunter, Petra Nemcova, and Daniela Pestova were all in attendance at the star-studded event in order to participate in the festivities honoring the beloved collectible.

Though Christie Brinkley serves as the living, breathing embodiment of the Barbie doll for many fans, the 60-year-old supermodel explains how she has continued to remain at the forefront of the beauty industry. Brinkley credits her youthful appearance and healthy figure to none other than hard work. Brinkley explained that she maintains a strict vegan diet as well as continuing to participate in routine dermatologist-controlled “special” facials in order to evade some effects of the aging process. The beautiful celebrity proves now more than ever that age is nothing but a number.
