The home is the perfect compromise for the couple and has been described as a “Connecticut compound in Malibu.” The home looks like it came right out of Kennedy Jr.’s home town of Hyannis Port, Massachusetts, but it is located where Hines has always called home.

According to the Boston Herald, the home was sold by “eight-time Emmy winning composer David Kurtz,” who is best known for his 20 plus years working with the daytime soap operas The Young and The Restless and The Bold and the Beautiful.

The four-bedroom, three-bath main house is complete with vaulted ceilings and a wood-paneled great room. The property also houses a guest home, a pool house, a wine shed complete with refrigeration, and a two-story treehouse.

Hines and Kennedy Jr. announced their engagement in May 2014. “It’s fun that the two families are coming together,” Hines told People earlier this summer. “It’s very sweet that way. I come from a big family and the Kennedys are a big family. It feels natural. It feels fun.”

After dating for more than two years and a very short engagement, the couple said “I do” in front of a huge crowd of their friends and family members at the Kennedy compound in Hyannisport, Massachusetts.

This is the second marriage for Hines, who has a ten-year-old daughter from her previous marriage. It is the third marriage for Kennedy Jr., who has two children with his first wife and four with his second.
