  • Charlie Sheen has lost his best friend and former personal assistant, according to the boys and girls over at TMZ. Rick Calamaro was found dead at his Los Angeles apartment on Sunday. Reports have stated that authorities believe the could have possibly died days ago. Not surprisingly, very few details surrounding his death have not been revealed. However, according to the celebrity gossip site, Calamaro’s apartment was littered with drugs.

A former Hollywood club promoter, Calamaro has reportedly been in and out of Sheen’s life for years. During the actor’s infamous meltdown in 2011 — which ultimately cost the guy his spot on the hit comedy “Two and a Half Men” — Rick was apparently right there, indulging in Sheen’s outrageous misbehavior and partaking in his legendary 36-hour parties. His contribution to Sheen’s craziness has led me to theorize that Calamaro may have been a negative influence on Sheen, who has struggled with drug and alcohol addiction for years.

According to sources, Calamaro ended his tenure as Sheen’s assistant last November. Friend and fellow actor Tony Todd, who most of you may remember from the 90’s horror flick “Candyman”, confirmed Rick’s passing with Celebuzz. As of this writing, neither Sheen nor anyone from his camp have said anything regarding’s Calamaro’s death.

This news comes during a high point for Sheen, whose FX sitcom “Anger Management” recently debuted with record breaking numbers. According to the website GossipOnThis, the show pulled in approximately 6 million viewers during the two-episode premiere.
