The three things that I look at are awareness, engagement, and advocacy. The first thing you would want to do in building a content marketing strategy is to consider the idea of awareness, giving awareness to the people you are working with.
“Not only do we expect to hit cashflow break-even, but we expect this business to be very profitable at maturity,” say Uber CEO Dara Khosrowshahi. “I think that going forward our spending declines as a percent of revenue. So when you’re growing trips 35 percent year on year your spending is going to increase.”
“We’re a platform that helps some of the biggest brands in the world really understand their customers in live time and communicate with them while they’re in an experience,” says Medallia CEO Leslie Stretch. This helps them retain their customer and perhaps sell them another experience. It’s this machine learning platform that does that.”
“The pace of change, the disruption in our industry, it’s manic,” says Ogilvy CEO John Seifert. “The hope I have for convening moments like Cannes is the clients and their partners in tech and creative communications and data start to come together and work harder as partners to design the models of the future.”
“We have something brand-new we call the Commerce Page Designer,” says Mike Micucci, CommerceCloud CEO…
We put together cloud computing that was scalable with better economics alongside a machine learning algorithm that we were pointing at the data to help make sense of it. We realized that what we had was a pretty scalable solution to help brands get to that nirvana of a single view of the customer.
“There’s a gap between what they think is happening and really what’s going on,” says…
“At Amazon, we still take risks all the time,” says Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos. “Our failures have to grow with the company. We need big failures if we are going to be moving the needle. We need to have billion dollar scale failures. If we are not, we are not swinging hard enough.”
“The most important thing for us and the reason we exist is that all the power is going to all of us, the buyers and consumers,” says Drift CEO David Cancel. “It’s going from companies to consumer buyers. We (as consumers) dictate everything now so every company in the world has to modify how they sell and service to make us happy.”
“When people look at what’s happening with Amazon trying to get into their businesses, the need to transform is also front and center for every c-level executive,” says Adobe CEO Shantanu Narayen. “Given that Adobe’s been through our own transformation they want to experience that same benefit that we have been able to see.”
