  • Lip Sync Battle might be held accountable for the popularity of lip syncing these days. And this time around, Carly Rae Jepsen’s single “I Really Like You” is getting the lip dubbed treatment.

In a recently uploaded YouTube clip that’s already starting to generate views, Justin Bieber and a bunch of his pals are hamming it up to Jepsen’s new single.

The video shows a shirtless Bieber dancing, flexing his muscles and lip syncing Jepsen’s song, along with friends like Ariana Grande and her Big Brother brother Frankie, Kendall Jenner, Empire’s Bryshere Y. Gray, Lance Bass, the boys of Rixton and a host of other people. Even Kendall Jenner’s dog has gotten into the act.

This is the second time that Bieber has made his own lip dub of his friend’s song. The “Baby” singer also did a clip of himself lip syncing Jepsen’s previous hit “Call Me Maybe.”

That show of support was probably instrumental in making the song 2012’s “Song of the Summer.” Jepsen reciprocated by headlining Bieber’s Believe tour.

But the real video for Jepsen’s “I Really Like You” is as star-studded as Bieber’s just-for-fun YouTube vid.

Megastar Tom Hanks, THE Tom Hanks, appears in the original video, lip syncing and dancing up a storm in front of the Mondrian Hotel in Manhattan. Bieber has a cameo at the end.

Jepsen herself seems surprised that happened but Hanks had only nice things to say about the singer.

“She’s a nice girl. We had a good time,” the award winning actor said.

It’s really a mystery for the ages how “I Really Like You” has spawned a Nine Inch Nails mashup, got Tom Hanks to dance and now has Bieber’s pseudo opus, just weeks after being released. The song isn’t even in the top 10 of Billboard’s Hot 100 charts (it’s currently sitting at number 80.)

But who knows, maybe the song will hit number 1 soon, thanks to Bieber and friends.
