Candice Swanepoel has wowed Victoria’s Secret fans for a while now as one of their top Angels, so it’s no surprise that Maxim readers have chosen her for the title of #1 on the magazine’s Hot 100 list.

The South African model is in good company this year, with Scarlett Johansson, Katy Perry, and Jennifer Lawrence rounding out the top 5.

“It’s a huge honor to be Maxim’s No. 1, among so many beautiful and talented women!” she said. “It’s a great feeling.”

Maxim’s creative director Paul Martinez called Swanepoel the “ideal embodiment of the new Maxim brand”, saying her physical beauty is but one aspect of her lovely traits.

“It’s not only her flawless beauty and effortless grace that have garnered her the coveted 2014 Hot 100 Number 1 placement, but also her business acumen. She has risen to become one of the world’s top supermodels and has transcended the accolade to become a global brand. It’s hard to imagine a woman more perfect,” Martinez said.

The full Hot 100 list this year includes Lana Del Rey, Rita Ora, Anna Paquin, and “Game Of Thrones” star Emilia Clarke.

“Already one of the top-earning models in the world, the impossibly leggy, blue-eyed beauty was spotted at 15 and quickly established herself among the elite, appearing on countless magazine covers, and strutting the runway as Victoria’s Secret’s alpha Angel.
