  • Candice Swanepoel has quickly made a name for herself among all the beautiful Victoria’s Secret models, and after being chosen to wear the coveted $10 million “Royal Fantasy Bra“, that name has been all over the headlines.

Swanepoel strutted down the catwalk wearing the precious lingerie in the 2013 Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show on Wednesday, showing off 4,200 gems including rubies, diamonds and yellow sapphires. The stones were set in 18-carat gold and an enormous 52-carat pear-shaped ruby hung in the center. Since 1996, it’s been tradition for one of the models to don a “Fantasy Bra” which is adorned with millions of dollars worth of stones; Claudia Schiffer was the first to do it, but the most expensive, elaborate piece was worn by Gisele Bundchen in 2000. The “Red Hot Fantasy Bra” was worth $20 million.

Of course, it takes a lot of preparation to get catwalk-ready, and Swanepoel says she has a surefire way to get her body in top condition before such a big show.

“I ramp up my workouts and I cut back on stuff that’s not good for me,” she said. “I workout like five times a week for an hour or two each time for the month before the show. I do a lot of green juices and green tea. Then I eat stuff like salads and lean proteins and try to avoid the obvious things like salt and sugar and carbs.”

Her workout routine isn’t as hardcore as one might think, however; the South African beauty says she would rather relax a little first.

“I just try to relax and enjoy it. I don’t do anything crazy the 24 hours leading up to the show because by now it won’t really make a difference. I just do what I’ve been doing,” she said.

The fashion show will be televised on CBS on Tuesday, December 10.
