  • She may not want to wear revealing outfits, but that doesn’t mean actress Candace Cameron Bure doesn’t want to look good, especially now since she’s on TV every week on the show Dancing with the Stars.

And look good she does, because ever since becoming a contestant on the show, she’s not only impressed the judges, she also shown everyone just how fit she is.

The former Full House star says she works out about four to five times a weeks, which is impressive considering she has three kids to raise. Plus, she loves weight training, she says, which undoubtedly helps her in the competition, because dancing is a lot about muscle strength and proper balance.

However, the long routines she has to do with partner Mark Ballas has been a challenge for her, because although she’s toned, she’s still working on her endurance.

“I work out four to five days a week. I like heavy weights. That’s what I enjoy doing to keep building muscle,” said Cameron Bure. “My cardio is minimal, which made it a little harder for the jive. That was a challenge for me because as great shape as I’m in, I’m not in great cardio shape. I like strength and power moves and I like running.”

But she might try running in marathons next, because her longtime friend Andrea Barber, who played Kimmy Gibler on Full House, loves running long distance and she’s been trying to get Cameron Bure to join her for quite some time.

The two have remained friends over the years, and Cameron Bure says she loves to run, but in much shorter races. However, she might try running a marathon in the very near future.

“We ran several races together,” said Cameron Bure . “She runs marathons. I run shorter races, like 5K or 10K races, but with obstacles in them like Tough Mudder or a Spartan Race because I like the strength stuff and she likes long distances.”
