  • Candace Cameron Bure is under fire this week for her wardrobe on the Fuller House set, and several fans have taken to Instagram to vent their outrage that she’s not leading by example for their children.

The actress took to social media to share a photo of herself with her co-stars, all of them in flirty party clothes. Candace is fairly covered up, but the short outfit shows off her legs, and one commenter wrote on the post (which has since been deleted) that she was disappointed.

“I thought she stands for Christian values. Seriously though! I am so sad! I thought @Candacebure stands up for Christian values?!?! This makes me so sad. I can’t let my kids watch this, is this how you dress?”

Candace Cameron Bure isn’t the only one taking criticism; another fan wrote on Facebook that the tone of the show was very different from what viewers were promised, and longed for the family-friendly scripts of the original series.

“We were promised over and over again that this would be the ‘family friendly’ show that we loved in the original Full House,” the user wrote.

The show has been widely anticipated for months, especially since almost the entire original cast returned for the Netflix show. However, the storylines have left something to be desired by many Christian fans, some of whom are upset over an episode in which there are same-sex kisses between different characters.

“I waited a long time to watch this and I was so excited, but the gay/lesbian act scenes uh NO..the profanity used, and the lack of clothing on some were just a huge disappointment..If you’re going to state youre a Christian then you can’t live in a world of sin and act like it’s ok,” a commenter wrote.

So far, the show’s stars haven’t commented on the negative backlash, but they’ve been busy; the series just got picked up for a second season, and Jodie Sweetin recently announced she’ll be on the next season of Dancing With The Stars.
