  • Bruce Jenner is apparently very lucky to be alive. The Keeping Up With the Kardashians patriarch was involved in a three vehicle crash in Malibu on Saturday that left one person dead. There are conflicting reports as to whether Bruce was a driver or a passenger in one of the vehicles. A recent report, however, says Jenner may have actually caused the crash by rear-ending a car that was pushed into oncoming traffic.

A deputy from the Malibu Police Department released the following statement to Hollywood Life.

“Bruce Jenner was involved in a fatal accident. He is alive and well. We don’t know his role in the accident or if he had any role at all at this point. All can tell you is that there was one fatality and the road is going to be closed until later tonight,” a Deputy Knott told the publication.

TMZ is reporting that a witness told them that Bruce Jenner was, in fact, a driver in the car that likely caused the fatal collision. CNN is also reporting Jenner as the driver who caused the crash.

Jenner reportedly told officers at the scene that he was being chased by the paparazzi. He took a field sobriety test at the scene and passed.

This isn’t the first time that the paparazzi has been responsible for a fatal accident, if that was actually the case here. Princess Diana was killed when the car she was a passenger in was being chased by the paparazzi. Bruce Jenner has been hounded even more recently since word of his transition from a man to a woman has made headlines. He wasn’t filming an episode of Keeping Up With the Kardashians at the time of the crash.

Bruce Jenner must be devastated to have been involved in this deadly accident. More details about the accident are sure to emerge in the next day or so.
