Bruce Jenner has been truly blessed. He and his sons–Burt, Brandon, and Brody Jenner–had a turbulent relationship following Bruce’s marriage to Kris Jenner. But despite that, his sons are fully supportive of his transition from a man to a woman.

“It was extremely hard for them to let Bruce back into their lives after barely having any contact with him after he married Kris,” a source tells People magazine.

“They can’t believe that they finally got their relationship back on track, and now they have this crazy extra layer to deal with, but they love him and are cool,” the source added.

Bruce Jenner has been front and center in the media throughout the past year, as he became more and more comfortable with the notion of living as a woman. He appeared several weeks back with much of the Keeping Up With the Kardashians gang, and was no doubt bolstered by the support he receives from them, too.

“Well we support Bruce no matter what, so we were just at his house hanging out and we wanted to take a picture, that was not like a secret message like, ‘We support Bruce,'” Kim Kardashian said of their time together. “Of course we support Bruce 100 percent.”

“He’s our dad so we support him no matter what, and I think when the time is right, he’ll talk about whatever he wants to talk about. I just think it’s his story to talk about, not really mine,” she added.

Burt, Brandon, and Brody Jenner are reportedly “fully on board” with Bruce Jenner’s transition.

“The brothers just want to be there for their dad and to support him,” People reports. “They own the situation, and they aren’t shy about talking about it.”

Bruce Jenner surely knows exactly how blessed he is. To have the love and support of his family to carry him through this trying time is no doubt a huge relief and an overwhelming comfort to him. Kudos to his family for realizing that while his gender is transitioning, his heart is still the same.
