Britney Spears is back at this year’s MTV Video Music Awards.

Britney Spears will be presenting the first award of the night at the star-studded event.

The excitement over Britney Spears’ appearance is a far cry from where the pop princess was back in 2007 when she sort of performed at the show.

But, back then Britney Spears was clinging to an almost non-existent shred of dignity after a series of personal problems, meltdowns (remember her taking an umbrella to a photographer?) and that infamous head-shaving.

Now, the 33-year-old mother of two and Las Vegas resident performer has made an incredible comeback and is definitely on the very welcome list of appearances for Sunday night’s event.

The VMAs will be hosted by Miley Cyrus, who was super excited to watch the impressive list of attendees grow to include Britney Spears.

Britney Spears will apparently be sitting one seat away from Kylie Jenner, but the lucky one who gets to sit in the middle isn’t known.

Performers at Sunday night’s event will not be lacking, either.

Those slated to perform include big names such as Justin Bieber, The Weeknd, Pharrell Williams, Demi Lovato and Macklemore & Ryan Lewis.
