  • According to E! News, Britney Spears is dating writer/producer Charlie Ebersol. The couple has reportedly been an item for a few weeks.

Ebersol’s father is Saturday Night Live co-creator and NBC Universal Sports & Olympics senior adviser Dick Ebersol. A source told E!, “They met through friends. He is the sweetest guy ever and they are very much enjoying getting to know one another. They are both very happy and having fun. It’s just the beginning so no idea if it will become serious but right now they are having a lot of fun together.”

Spears is about two months removed from a relationship with singer David Lucado. The 32-year-old pop singer has two sons, Sean Preston and Jayden, with ex-husband Kevin Federline.

Ebersol, 31, has previously been linked to actress Sophia Bush and tennis player Maria Sharapova. His professional writing/producing credits include Ithuteng (Never Stop Learning), The Profit, The Moment, and Don’t Look Down.

Spears is currently performing her live show, Britney: Piece of Me, at The Axis auditorium in the Planet Hollywood Resort and Casino in Las Vegas. You can click here for dates and tour information. Her residency at Planet Hollywood so far has been a success. Spears has signed on to stay with the resort through 2017.

Here’s a description for Spears’ Vegas show:

Britney performs all her infectious dance songs, as well as tracks from her latest album. But don’t expect a recreation of her music videos. Her intense performances are way more electrifying – some even dreamlike and daring. Whether Britney’s flying across stage, singing in a ring of fire or dancing in front of multiple mirrors, this shining diva knows just how to work it.
