Brandi Glanville: Leaving “RHOBH” Was Like Leaving An Abusive Boyfriend

  • Brandi Glanville finally opened up recently about those rumors swirling around her departure from The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, saying it was not her decision to leave and comparing her relationship with the reality show to an abusive one.

“No. Bravo said, ‘We’ll have you back part time,’ and that was it. That said, I haven’t filmed yet … I’m actually seeing Yolanda today — we’re not filming it, but we are hanging out … honestly, I’m happier. I feel like I broke up with an abusive boyfriend. Like, ‘Oh my God, I love you, but you’re horrible for me,'” Brandi said during Housewives Happy Hour.

Glanville first appeared on the show during season two and has had several conflicts with her co-stars, not to mention a very public feud with her ex-husband’s new wife, LeAnn Rimes. For her, the show was always a job rather than a way to be famous, something she apparently takes issue with in her fellow Housewives.

“They’re all rich already. The only thing that you can’t buy is fame … The network said to me, ‘We think if you sign up again, you’ll just be doing it for the money.’ And that’s the only reason I ever did it, was for the money!” Glanville said.

While her future with the show is uncertain, Glanville is still busy with her podcast and her own wine label, which is named after her own penchant for saying whatever she’s thinking.

“I think everyone who knows me knows how much I love my wine. A friend of mine was representing an athlete actually, and this winery came to the athlete and he said, ‘I don’t drink, but wait — I know somebody who drinks and likes white wine. So, he introduced us and this, a year and a half later, is Unfiltered Blonde Chardonnay,” Brandi Glanville told ET.
