  • Bradley Cooper sure has been busy lately. Fresh off of his success in the film American Hustle, Cooper has signed on for another big project.

Cooper is set to play NYPD officer Marshall Grade in the thriller American Blood. This film is based on the fourth book written by New Zealand author Ben Sanders.

American Blood tells the tale of undercover cop turned mob-informant Grade, who is sent to New Mexico as part of the witness protection program. His safety becomes in jeopardy, however, as the case begins to unravel.

This role is a huge opportunity for Cooper, as it is seen as the first of a series, which means he’ll have a few likely guaranteed roles. The franchise proposition is also alluring to TV and film companies, and will likely result in lots of buzz for the movie.

Cooper isn’t a stranger to wildly successful films; he received Oscar nominations for best supporting actor for the films Silver Linings Playbook and American Hustle. He also hit big with The Hangover trilogy, Wedding Crashers, Limitless, Failure to Launch, and many other films.

The actor has proved he’s a man of many talents, as he has served as executive producer in Limitless, Silver Linings Playbook, The Words, and American Hustle. He is also slated to produce American Blood.

Not one to let the dust settle around him too long, Cooper has a variety of other projects in the works, as well. He will star alongside his favorite co-star Jennifer Lawrence in the period piece Serena, set to premier in April. He also lent his voice to play Rocket Raccoon in Marvel’s superhero film, Guardians of the Galaxy. Chris Pratt, ex-girlfriend Zoe Saldana, Vin Diesel, and Dave Bautista are also in the movie.
