  • Usain Bolt is kind of the guy you don’t want to mess with at this year’s Olympic games. Not only is he insanely good at what he does, he just seems like a cool guy with a good head on his shoulders. But take heed, officials: he doesn’t like your silly rules.

Bolt was pretty irked when he was banned from bringing a jumprope into the stadium before the 100-meter final and said he’s bringing one on Thursday whether the officials like it or not.

“Oh my God, why are there so many rules?! You can’t do nothing! I wanted to bring my skipping rope in and they said ‘no’ because it’s ‘the rules. These rules just don’t make sense to me. I am going to [bring the rope in on Tuesday]. I am going to stick it under my bag, bottom of my bag or something,” he said.

Bolt says he simply uses the rope as a warm-up tool and doesn’t understand why it should be banned; Olympics spokeswoman Jackie Brock-Doyle said the incident will be investigated.

“If it was taken away before the stadium, then that is not correct. If it was taken before he entered the field of play (track), then that is probably correct. We are still looking into it,” she said.
