  • On January 31, Bobbi Kristina Brown was found unresponsive in a bathtub by her husband, Nick Gordon, and a friend. The incident made the news because of the eerie similarity to how Bobbi Kristina’s mother, Whitney Houston, passed away. And while Bobbi Kristina is still alive, reports about her current condition have been conflicting. According to People, Bobbi Kristina is stable and in the hospital. A source for E! News also claims that Bobbi Kristina is breathing with the help of a ventilator. TMZ, however, paints a dire picture saying that Bobbi Kristina’s condition is bleak and that her brain function has “significantly diminished”.

Despite the conflicting reports, people have been sending their thoughts and prayers through social media. Even celebrities have spoken out about what happened to Bobbi Kristina. “I hope Bobbi Kristina gets the help she needs Poor thing, almost 3 yrs to the day her mom passed and the same thing almost happened to her,” Diane Warren tweeted. Other celebrities that took to Twitter include Missy Elliott, Ciara, Holly Robinson Peete, and many more.

Bobbi Kristina, who was still devastated about her mother’s passing, has also struggled with addiction. A close friend of the family told People, “Bobbi Kristina will be the first person to say that she has used in the past, and that she dealt with a lot of pressure from growing up in the spotlight. You’ve seen the pictures on the Internet, so you know.”

Bobbi Kristina was 18 years old when Whitney Houston passed away. She suffered a mental breakdown after receiving news of her mother’s death and she was sent to Cedars Sinai Medical Center to be treated for stress and anxiety.

The source adds, “The last time I talked to her was before Halloween, and I said, ‘You know that we’re worried about you. I hope you’re not using.’ And she said, ‘I know how my mother died, and I’ve learned from her mistakes.’”
