  • Bobbi Kristina Brown passed away on Sunday at the age of 22. The only child of the late Whitney Houston and Bobby Brown, she was in a hospice facility outside of Atlanta, surrounded by close family members and friends, when she died.

It was back on January 31st that Bobbi Kristina was discovered facedown in her bathtub–an eerily familiar scenario to those who remember Whitney Houston’s passing in 2012. She spent several weeks in an Atlanta hospital, after which she was transferred to a nearby rehab facility. When it was determined there was no more doctors could do for Bobbi Kristina, she was moved to the Peachtree Christian Hospice, where she spent almost exactly one month before passing away.

As soon as word broke Sunday evening about Bobbi Kristina’s passing, celebrities starting weighing in on the untimely death.

Oprah Winfrey was among the first to share her thoughts on social media.

Empire star Taraji P. Henson shared her feelings, too.

Rosie O’Donnell had no words. She simply shared a photo of Bobbi Kristina.

Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs shared a short video clip on Instagram of Bobbi Kristina when she was a little girl, in Bobby Brown’s arms with Whitney Houston by their side. He captioned the clip, “Rest in peace #BobbiKristina.”

Eryka Badu directed her message of love to both the late Bobbi Kristina and her dad Bobby Brown.

Sherri Shepherd shared her thoughts on motherhood, and shared a sweet photo of Bobbi Kristina with Whitney Houston.

The list of celebrities sharing thoughts about Bobbi Kristina via social media is growing minute by minute. Feelings range from grief to relief at the knowledge that Bobbi Kristina Brown is now reunited in eternity with Whitney Houston.

The Houston family released a statement on Sunday, confirming that Bobbi Kristina had passed away.

“She is finally at peace in the arms of God,” the statement reads. “We want to again thank everyone for their tremendous amount of love and support during these last few months.”

One source says an autopsy is scheduled. Many are wondering what–if anything–the results may tell authorities about any physical abuse Bobbi Kristina may have sustained prior to January 31. Boyfriend Nick Gordon was recently named in a $10 million civil lawsuit. That suit alleges he both physically and mentally abused Bobbi Kristina in the days leading up to January 31.

A report surfaced late Sunday saying Nick Gordon was on suicide watch in light of Bobbi Kristina’s passing. His father has since denied those claims.

Hopefully the family of Bobbi Kristina Brown takes solace in the many messages of love and prayers that celebrities and others are sharing via social media. These and their memories are all they can cling to in light of this tragedy.
