“>his first interview after finalizing his divorce from Miranda Lambert, which aired on Entertainment Tonight this week.

The newly single Blake Shelton, 39, sat down beside fellow country superstar Brad Paisley, who is joining Shelton and the other judges on The Voice, with a cup in hand, reportedly filled with “a little vodka” and ice.

“I thought I’d go ahead and get it started early,” Shelton joked. “It’s been one of those weeks.”

When asked how he was doing, Shelton replied, “Well, I got divorced.”

Shelton and Lambert announced their split on July 20 in a joint statement after four years of marriage.

“This is not the future we envisioned,” the couple said in their statement. “And it is with heavy hearts that we move forward separately.”

It was only a matter of hours when news came that they had already finalized their divorce.

The couple continued to interact with each other on Twitter despite the split.

Lambert made fun of bizarre paparazzi pics of Shelton pushing a stroller with a drink in his hand.

“I knew it…. You WERE pregnant!” Lambert tweeted. “This calls for a drink!,” to which Shelton responded, “Ha!!!!! Busted… I wasn’t JUST a fat ass. Drinking shall now begin…”

According to Us Weekly, despite putting on a happy facade, the former couple are “heartbroken” and “devastated” by the end of their marriage.

Last week, Us reported that Blake Shelton and his former wife want to “move on as friends” and “there are no hard feelings.”
