  • Singer Björk headlined the Bonnaroo festival this weekend, wearing an elaborate and dangerous-looking costume.

Though the Icelandic pop star is known for wearing avant-garde costume’s on-stage, her latest look may be the most extreme yet. Though her dress was merely odd and lumpy-looking, Björk wore a headdress that covered her entire head and face in blue and white spikes.

The singer welcomed fans at Bonnaroo through her Facebook page, showing off the headdress and crowd of thousands that gathered for the yearly music festival in Manchester, Tennessee:

Björk had been touring in California for the past few weeks, with dates in both San Francisco and Los Angeles. Her performance at Bonnaroo is the first of several festival appearances scheduled for this year. The singer will be at the Ottawa Bluesfest in July, as well as the Pitchfork Music Festival in Chicago and the Fuji Rock Festival in Niigata, Japan. She will also be performing at the Twinkle Rock Festival in Taipei, Taiwan and Germany’s Berlin Festival in September.
