Bethenny Frankel and Omarosa: Catfight On Talk Show

  • Bethenny Frankel has made quite a career for herself since she first appeared on “The Real Housewives of New York”; she starred in not one but two reality show spinoffs documenting her marriage and the birth of her child, she started her own cocktail brand, SkinnyGirl, and she is the author of four books that deal with everything from diet plans to workouts. Now, she has her own talk show, and as someone who says she likes talking to controversial people, she got more than she bargained for when she invited reality star Omarosa Manigault to sit down for an interview.

The two have had words in the past, and when Frankel suggested that Manigault was not much more than a reality TV villain, the “Apprentice” star fired back in a fairly catty manner.

“It’s different for you and I,” she said. “I am an African-American woman. You get to walk around and be mediocre and you still get rewarded with things. We have to be exceptional to get anything in this business.”

Of course the audience Oooohhed at that, but Omarosa attempted to backtrack, saying she wasn’t saying Frankel is mediocre because she’s doing well enough to have her own talk show, but the claws were already out. The conversation then turned to what exactly Omarosa’s “brand” is (“I am a smart businesswoman who celebrates being smart and there is a brand in being smart,” she said) and that’s when it got really ugly, with Omarosa comparing Frankel “making cupcakes” to her job in the White House.
