Ben Affleck “Is Good”, Says Matt Damon

  • Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner have made countless headlines in recent weeks due to the accusations that Ben had an affair with their nanny, but neither have commented publicly about the affair or their impending divorce. However, Affleck’s bestie Matt Damon said in a recent interview that Ben is doing well, and made some pointed remarks about how to make a marriage work.

“I think marriage is insane. It’s a crazy idea but I love being married to my wife. So I wouldn’t tell anybody else about their relationship. But I’m lucky I found my wife. And I guess maybe, if there’s any secret … it’s to feel lucky,” Matt said. “So much of it is out of your hands. I mean, I just had that conversation with my father this weekend. He says the same thing to me. Says it’s God’s grace, is what he said. Because you just don’t get lucky.”

Ben was photographed last month having a late-night rendezvous with Christine Ouzounian, the woman hired by the couple to care for their children, and while the photo doesn’t show anything damning, it does suggest that the duo were accustomed to such meet-ups. Rumors have flown around the web that Jennifer Garner discovered the affair months ago and fired Ouzounian, who hasn’t been shy on social media since her name began showing up in headlines.

Damon talked a bit about Ben’s birthday–which was on the 15th–and said it wasn’t a big deal, and he and Affleck hadn’t been able to get together for it.

“I was in Boston with my family actually. It was kind of a meaningless, it was 43 you know? It wasn’t that big. I think he was actually in Atlanta with his family. So we missed each other but…he’s good. He’s good.”
