Anna Duggar continues to support her husband, former 19 Kids And Counting star Josh, despite the fact that he admitted to being unfaithful to her after his email address was leaked during the Ashley Madison hack.

Anna said in a recent episode of Counting On that although she was stunned and betrayed by Josh–whom she calls her first love–she will support him as her faith tells her to do and wait for the storm to calm.

“Not only was it a betrayal against me, but it was also a betrayal against those that call themselves Christian because here we were as a Christian couple. Everyone was able to see us get married and to vow before God to be loyal to each other, and that loyalty was broken. And so, for my heart, it was just broken…I knew if I went off of what I was feeling, I would turn a mess into a disaster. In the stun and in the shock of everything, I was just praying, ‘God, help me to respond to all of this.’ I didn’t know what to do. I knew we needed help, and I was just praying God would give the wisdom and the help that we needed to take the next step,” Anna said.

Despite recent reports that Anna has been considering divorce amidst pressures from her family, she seems committed to sticking it out with her husband as he receives treatment for an alleged addiction to pornography. The mom of four has been staying close to family through it all, reportedly moving in with the Duggars after she and Josh relocated from Washington D.C. earlier this year following his resignation from the Family Research Council.

“Last night we learned from online reports about allegations concerning Josh Duggar and then read his confession today. We are grieved by Josh’s conduct and the devastating impact of his pornography addiction and marital unfaithfulness. Our hearts hurt for his family, and all those affected by Josh’s actions,” President Tony Perkins said in a statement following the Ashley Madison scandal.
