Amy Duggar and Fiance Disappointed TLC Won’t Air Their Wedding in Wake of ’19 Kids and Counting’ Cancellation

  • Amy Duggar and her fiance Dillon King are looking forward to getting married, and they were looking forward to sharing their nuptials with their fans via a TLC special. It seems they are the latest casualties of the Josh Duggar sexual molestation scandal, because they recently received word from TLC that the wedding won’t be aired.

RadarOnline reports that Dillon King shared word of TLC’s decision via Instagram, in a post that has since been deleted.

The publication says Amy Duggar’s fiance wrote that the two of them, “were very excited about having the opportunity to share our life experience with you all,” but that they won’t be exchanging vows in a TV special.

“TLC [called] us yesterday stating they have decided that they will NOT be filming our wedding and they are ‘glad they got to work with us.’ So, Amy and myself apologize that we will not be able to share our special day with you all on the TLC network.”

This is likely–at least in part–to TLC’s recent cancellation of 19 Kids and Counting. If they can’t get sponsors to support the Duggar family’s reality show, it’s highly unlikely they’d find sponsors to support a cousin’s wedding.

Amy Duggar’s fiance went on to urge their fans to contact TLC and to “voice their opinion” about the network’s change of heart.

Amy Duggar is the daughter of Jim Bob Duggar’s sister. Her father has recently caused embarrassment for the 19 Kids and Counting family when an old lawsuit, claiming he transmitted genital herpes to a woman with whom he had unprotected sex many years ago, surfaced recently.

What do you suppose the chances are of another network picking up the Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar’s family’s reality show? Could 19 Kids and Counting–as well as Amy Duggar and her fiance’s wedding–wind up being aired somewhere else?
