  • Amanda Bynes is having a rough time yet again.

On Friday, Oct. 10 the Bynes’ family attorney, Tamar Arminak, revealed she’d been placed on involuntary psychiatric hold in a Los Angeles treatment facility.

According to Californian law, she could be held up to 72 hours for mental health evaluation so the hold was initially set to expire on Monday, Oct. 13.

Now, several media outlets are reporting she’s still hospitalized and back on psychiatric hold. Although she reportedly isn’t too happy about the situation, her parents, Lynn and Rick Bynes, are quite pleased.

A source close to the family recently spoke with People about how her parents feel about the treatment she’s receiving. “They’re happy she’s safe and that Amanda is finally getting some help,” the source revealed.

The former Nickelodeon child star’s intervention comes after several weeks of “disturbing behavior.” CBS News reported the 28-year-old actress was “displaying increasingly erratic and bizarre behavior.”

Then, of course, her recent hour-long Twitter rant on Oct. 8 didn’t help the situation. Unfortunately, it only made things worse and fans were definitely convinced that something is wrong with the What a Girl Wants star.

She tweeted a series of messages bashing InTouch magazine and other news outlets for reporting alleged lies about her. “They continue to write lies about me and it really hurts my feelings because they are calling me insane and I’m actually really smart,” she tweeted.

She also announced she’d be getting married soon and has plans to be on the cover of People magazine.

But, that’s not all! She also accused her father of sexual abuse, but later deleted the tweets and refuted the shocking claims. She believes “the microchip in [her] brain” made her tweet the accusations.

“My dad never did any of those things. The microchip in my brain made me say those things but he’s the one that ordered them to microchip me,” she tweeted.

Hopefully, this intervention will bring positive changes for the troubled actress.
