Alyssa Miller is Jake Gyllenhaal’s new squeeze, and fans of the actor are curious as to who she is and how the couple met.

Miller is a model who appeared on the cover of Vogue at the age of 18 and has graced the pages of Sports Illustrated right beside Kate Upton. Rumor has it that she met Gyllenhaal at the gym, and they’ve been spotted out together a couple of times since late June, including a recent brunch date in Manhattan with his mom, Naomi Foner, this past weekend. They were also seen being a cutesy couple near NYU.

“They were sharing dessert off a plate as they were walking down the street,” a source said. “He held the plate and she fed him a bite — it was adorable!”

Back in June, the duo couldn’t resist some PDA as they stopped for a snack while on a bike ride in New York.

“You could tell they were a couple. There was lots of PDA going on,” an onlooker said. “They didn’t make out, but they would kiss each other on the lips multiple times. More like little pecks and they were very touchy-feely. They couldn’t keep their hands off of each other.”

Miller posted a picture to Instagram over the July 4th holiday–which is also her birthday–that showed several gorgeously wrapped gifts, presumably from Jake. The caption says simply, “Spoiled”.

There’s no way to tell if this will turn into something serious, although there is an eight-year age difference between the new couple. Gyllenhaal has been linked in the past to country crooner Taylor Swift, Rilo Kiley singer Jenny Lewis, Kirsten Dunst, and Reese Witherspoon.
