Allison Williams flew past fans on their TV screens during the Christmas season as the star of Peter Pan, and now she’s back–and talking about sex scenes. How might that make her dad, NBC News anchor Brian Williams feel? Clearly it doesn’t bother his daughter, as she admits to loving the sex scenes–even the awkward ones she plays on the hit TV series Girls.

“I take great pride in playing those moments,” she said during a recent interview with ET. “It’s become my little pet favorite project. Because I just like pushing the envelope.”

Allison Williams was in New York on Monday, celebrating the premiere of the fourth season of Girls. She plays the role of Marnie, who frequently finds herself in awkward sexual situations. She claims said awkwardness allows her to really have fun playing her role.

“I love making people uncomfortable,” Williams said. “And when people say, ‘I cringed watching [that] scene,’ that’s the biggest compliment you can give me.”

Something that isn’t making Allison Williams uncomfortable at all is talk of motherhood. The actress is engaged to College Humor co-founder Ricky Van Veen, and plans for their wedding are underway. Lately Allison has hounded every actress she knows who is either pregnant or has kids, and asked how she balances motherhood with her career.

“I have a lot of questions: How do I get to a place in my career where I can go be a mom for a little while, and then come back and be a mom and an actress at the same time?” she asks in the February issue of Glamour. She graces the magazine’s February cover, too.

“Every time I find a woman in film, an actress who has kids, I, like a sociopath, corner her and ask, ‘How did it work?’ Everyone says, ‘Don’t think so much.’ [Jemima Kirke], from Girls, is always saying, ‘Just get pregnant! Just have a baby.’ And I’m like, ‘You are so much cooler than I am.’ I love what I do, but I have no doubt that when I start my family, that’s life. This is my job, but that’s life,” Williams, who clearly isn’t a sociopath, but perhaps just a bit of a perfectionist, added.

The fourth season of the hit HBO series premieres this coming Sunday, January 11th, at 9:00 PM.
