Usher and Shakira filled in for Season 4, however, both Green and Aguilera returned for Season 5. Then, Green told Ellen DeGeneres on her show in February that he would be leaving the show for good.

Aguilera is currently pregnant, so she’s out for Season 7. Gwen Stefani and Pharrell Williams have both been confirmed coaches for the upcoming season.

Through all the changes, both Adam Levine and Blake Shelton have remained on the show. However, neither is confirmed yet for Season 7, and the Maroon 5 front man just made his acting debut. Now, fans of The Voice are concerned that Levine will be the next coach to make his exit.

Levine certainly stepped out of his comfort zone for his role in the film Begin Again. The movie is not slated to hit theaters until August, however, the musical drama was screened at the Tribeca Film Festival over the weekend. Levine talked about his acting debut, “My experience was so much fun. It made me kind of start to like acting a little bit, but I don’t know. I don’t think you can really make those bold declarations, but we’ll see.”

When asked about whether he plans on returning to The Voice, the singer coyly responded, “I’ve got to check my schedule.”

So far, the revolving coaches haven’t had a major impact on the popularity of the show. However, many fans enjoy the friendly but competitive banter between Shelton and Levine. The lack of their presence may ultimately have a dramatic effect on the ratings.

Begin Again also stars Keira Knightley, Hailee Steinfeld, Mark Ruffalo, and Catherine Keener. In the film, Knightley plays a fresh-faced singer-songwriter in New York City. John Carney, the man behind the musical indie darling Once, also wrote and directed Begin Again.
