  • 19 Kids And Counting has left a lot of people split on the internet; while some are happy that the show was cancelled by TLC following the revelation that eldest son Josh Duggar molested several underage girls when he was 14, fans are devastated and were hoping for the rumored spinoff–which was said to be in the works with Duggar girls Jessa and Jill–to take off. However, a source close to the show told People this week that while a spinoff was definitely talked about, Duggar patriarch was firmly against it.

“He absolutely wanted to be back on TV and was never thrilled about the show suddenly shifting focus,” the source said.

Josh has been mostly absent from the spotlight and from social media since the police report detailing the sexual abuse was made public in May, but he was spotted in a video taken at Jim Bob and Michelle’s 31st wedding anniversary. Josh and his wife, Anna, recently welcomed their fourth child, a little girl, and can be seen on the video with the baby.

Jim Bob and Michelle have been updating the family blog so that fans of 19 Kids And Counting can keep up with the family even though the show has been pulled from TLC’s lineup. On Tuesday, the couple posted love letters to one another in celebration of their anniversary.

“The greatest blessing of my life was 31 years ago, on July 21, 1984 when Michelle married me. She is the virtuous woman that Proverbs 31 talks about. She is the ultimate wife and mother and I love her more and more each day. … She is an example to millions of women, her children rise up and call her blessed,” Jim Bob wrote.

Josh and Anna Duggar recently moved back to Arkansas after Josh resigned from his high-profile job at the Family Research Council, and have reportedly hired fellow reality star Kate Goslin’s former bodyguard Steve Nield.
