Basketball star Michael Jordan, 50, and his wife former model Yvette Jordan, 35, welcomed identical twin baby girls over the weekend.
On Sunday, February 9, 2014, Yvette gave birth to her bundles of joy Victoria and Ysabel. Michael's rep Estee Portnoy released a statement announcing the exciting news. "Yvette Jordan and the babies are doing well and the family is overjoyed at their arrival," Estee said.
Michael and Yvette met over six years ago, in 2008, at a dance club in Miami. However, it wasn't until this past year, in April 2013, that they took the next step and were married. On April 27, 2013, the couple said their vows at the Episcopal Church of Bethesda-by-the-Sea in Palm Beach, Florida. This was the same place that Donald and Melania Trump were married back in 2005.
They then announced that they were expecting twin girls only seven short months later. The twins make five children for Michael. He already has three other children Jeffrey Michael, Marcus James, and Jasmine by his ex-wife Juanita Vanoy, who he divorced in 2006. However, the twins make the first children for Yvette, and the first for the couple together.
Michael took over as the owner of the NBA's Charlotte Bobcats in 2010. They are currently ranked eighth seed in the Eastern Conference. It is looking hopeful that they may make it to the postseason this year, which would be the first time since Michael gained ownership.
