  • YouTube is working on a separate mobile app for creators, a feature that lets fans directly contribute funds to creators, and a way to create captions and subtitles by “harnessing the crowd.”

Perhaps most importantly, YouTube says it’s going to start telling users about features it’s working on so they can offer feedback, and help steer them “in the right direction.”

“Your biggest request? You want to hear about the new stuff we’re working on ahead of time, so you can tell us if we’re heading in the right direction,” said Matt Glotzbach, Director of Creator Product Management in a blog post. “Well, your wish is our command.”

Some probably would have liked that idea ahead of the move to Google+ for comments.

The company is encouraging feedback on Google+ or Twitter, which it says it will be reading and responding to, and most importantly using to improve feature launches.
