Ordinarily, we’d be in no rush to tell you that one arm of gigantic corporation’s come up with another way for you to throw away your money.  But a lot of people love YouTube, and the new YouTube Store is getting some rather positive reactions.

To explain: folks often use the comments section of the YouTube Blog as a place to air their personal complaints and make feature requests.  When the YouTube Store was announced, the first six responses were all on-topic and complimentary.

Anyway, shirts and hats for men, women, and children are available, along with some other random articles of clothing like socks and a bib.  A pen, notebook, and two aluminum bottles then pretty much round out the selection.

As a side note, environmentally conscious types may be glad to know that "many of the products are eco-friendly, made from organic fabrics or recycled materials," according to the YouTube Blog post.

Prices aren’t too bad, either.  The short-sleeved shirts are all under $12, which seems reasonable.  The hats hover around $10.  If you decide to give Google and YouTube your cash, just consider staying away from the notebook ($7.25) and perhaps the socks ($5.25).

I must admit that’s a pretty goog price youTube’s got there on the American Apparel t-shirts with print. Our wholesale club price on a 2001OR American Apparel t-shirts white starts at $7.14 (qty 1) and that’s blank. They must have got a really good deal from some printer, so you better grab one before they are gone. Cause I bet they’ll either go up in price after this first batch, or the shirt will switch to Gildan or Jerzees tee shirt.

P.S. YouTube is one of my favorite websites, and it’s really hard to make that list!
