Yasmine Bleeth made a name for herself when she joined the cast of Baywatch alongside David Hasselhoff and Pamela Anderson. During her time one the show, she became a sex symbol overnight. However, it didn’t last long. She was kicked off the show after three years because of her drug abuse.

Despite appearing in several short-lived TV shows, Bleeth practically disappeared from the public eye. Until now, that is. Photos have surfaced of Bleeth hanging out at the beach with her husband and friends. The former Baywatch babe gained a lot of weight and was unrecognizable in the photos.

Bleeth ditched her famous red swimsuit and opted instead to wear loose-fitting pants and and a black long-sleeved shirt. She was there to support her husband, Paul Cerrito, as he took part in the 55^th Annual Penguin Plunge, where people brave the icy waters to celebrate the start of the New Year. Bleeth’s friend and Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Eileen Davidson documented the event.

Baywatch producer, Douglas Schwartz, was interviewed by Esquire back in 2012. In the interview, Schwartz talked about their problems with Bleeth and why she was fired from the show.

“We had one issue with Yasmine Bleeth, who was doing drugs at the time,” he recalled. “And so we were dealing with Yasmine not showing up and having difficulties, again with men. That’s why we let Yasmine go off the show: because it was too difficult to deal with her after a while.”

In November 2001, Bleeth checked herself into the world-renowned Promises rehabilitation center in Malibu. However, two weeks after being released from rehab, Bleeth was arrested in Detroit after driving into a median while high on cocaine. According to Bleeth, this became a turning point in her life and she decided to clean up her act.

Bleeth married Cerrito, who she met in rehab, back in 2004.
