Whitney Houston never released a live album while she was alive. Clive Davis is releasing a live compilation of her greatest live performances into an album that is set for release in November--more than two years after her untimely death.

Davis--who discovered Whitney Houston back in the early 1980s--appeared on The Today Show last week and shared his big announcement.

"She was without question the greatest vocalist in the world," he told Hoda Kotb.

"Whitney Houston Live: Her Greatest Performances" will be out in CD, DVD, and digital format on November 10th.

"There was no one like her," Davis added following his announcement.

"Whitney Houston Live: Her Greatest Performances" will include classic hits like "You Give Good Love," recorded during a Tonight Show appearance. It will feature "The Star Spangled Banner" from Super Bowl XXV, back in 1991. And it will include one of Whitney's most heartfelt hits of all time, "I Will Always Love You," as recorded at The Concert for a New South Africa back in 1994.

Clive Davis told Hoda Kotb that he was often there for Whitney Houston's "incredible live performances," and added, "it was a marvel that she was as powerful and as incredible as she was. But bittersweet that she died too young."

Whitney Houston died at the age of 48, back on February 11, 2012.

Clive Davis says "Whitney Houston Live: Her Greatest Performances" is being produced with Cissy Houston's blessing. He added that Cissy--Whitney's mother--helped him assemble the tracks for the live album.

"This is her legacy," Davis said of Whitney Houston.

It's all the world--and her fans--have left of the brilliant singer, gone too soon.

Will you be buying "Whitney Houston Live: Her Greatest Performances" when it goes on sale in November? What is your favorite Whitney Houston song?
