Vanessa Hudgens will go on with the show, despite the passing of her father on Saturday. Set to star Sunday night in Fox's live musical event Grease: Live!, Hudgens will dedicate her performance to her late dad.

Taking to social media, Vanessa Hudgens shared word of her father's death via Twitter.

Shortly after that post, she added another thought.

Vanessa Hudgens will play the role of Rizzo in Grease: Live! The role was played in the original film by Stockard Channing.

In addition to Vanessa Hudgens, Grease: Live! will star Julianne Hough as Sandy and Aaron Tveit as Danny, in the roles Olivia Newton-John and John Travolta made famous back in 1978.

It was likely be difficult for Vanessa Hudgens to set aside her grief to smile, dance, and sing her way through Grease: Live! She will no doubt rely on the love and support from her cast mates to get through the performance.
