Hello fellow Americans. Recently losing our obesity crown to Mexico has probably got you feeling a bit down, and I understand that. Chanting “We’re Number two, we’re number two” doesn’t really have the same ring to it.

We’re still number one in terms our incarceration levels, and I’m sure we’re still on top in number of current reality shows about people with 20+ children. But if you don’t feel like celebrating either of those victories, here’s something to boast about at your next multicultural barbecue…

The United States of Awesome hosts the most porn in the world – and it’s not even close.

New research from “family-friendly web product specialists MetaCert” shows that the U.S. hosts about 428 web pages full of porn. That’s around 60% of the world’s porn.

Coming in second is The Netherlands with 187 million pages of porn – 26%. The U.K. hosts 7% or the internet’s porn pages – but that number will probably take a hit over the next couple of years.

Here’s the rest of the top 10, in order: Germany, France, Australia (T), Canada (T), Japan, Virgin Islands (T), and the Czech Republic (T).

Maybe it’s the cultural differences, maybe it’s the cost of web hosting, or maybe it’s sweet, sweet porny freedom. Whatever the case, take pride, America. You did it.

Well, what do you expect from one of the most repressed countries in the world? When you think about it, this country is out control in many ways. We live in a collective delusion.

All and all though, I am more worried about the TSA expansion, New York trying to do random pat searches, our rising incarceration rate, and the whole NSA deal. Porn use is way down on my list of things to really worry about.

Our country is in rapid decline. Anyone who has half a brain and knows the slightest bit about history can see this.

This makes sense. If you make something taboo, it will flourish. It is kind of like drugs in America. We made relatively harmless drugs illegal and we have a record amount of incarceration because of it. We have people locked up in prison who are literally not threats to anyone because of it as well.

Well, now that I think about it, I guess that applies to sex too. We have people locked up in prison for having consensual sex with another person. Heck, we have people locked after being set up on the internet and when they don’t even see a person in real life. We are literally permanently harming people who have never harmed another soul.

At the end of the day, these things are the result of society that like the other commentator said —- is unhealthy and repressed. The evidence is all around us.

that number seems incredibly low…. that would mean there’s less than 1000 web pages… about 713 worldwide if i math’d that out correctly… i was expecting closer to 1/2 million or more… i know i’ve personally been to 100s of sites p… so… does that mean i’m ~ 1/3 to 1/2 of the way through all of the porn on the net? >.> that’s a bit frightening…

Follow the sources, it’s 428 million..

Would you please be kind enough to correct our company name? It’s MetaCert – not metacard as published in this post. And if you wouldn’t mind, here’s our *original* infographic to which a link would be greatly appreciated http://blog.metacert.com/where-to-find-pornography

    Many thanks,
