Wow! Let’s say it again…WOW! Miley Cyrus has definitely stepped up to the plate and won the most outrageous VMA performance award in history.

For those of you who have not seen the performance yet, take a minute and view the video below. You need to see it to understand everyone’s completely shocked reaction to Miley “twerking” on stage last night during the 2013 VMA awards.

What was the most interesting part of Miley’s performance? Was it that she appeared from inside of a teddy bear hanging her tongue out like a thirsty dog? Or maybe that she was dancing with life size teddy bears that, more than likely, frightened children to the depths of their soul (see Jayden Smith’s face)? Or could it be that she decided to strip down into a nude bikini and rub her private parts with a large foam finger? Answer: All of the above!

The non-stop twerking, on stage, has led to the 20-year-old former “Hannah Montana” star being mentioned 4.5 million times on Twitter. Fans and former fans are outraged by the raunchy performance and, not to mention the grinding of herself on the “Blurred Lines” singer, Robin Thicke.

Apparently Miley doesn’t agree with the opinions of the viewers. She seems to be excited that her performance is gaining so much attention. Too bad it isn’t for the right reasons.

It will be interesting to see who will be able to top that performance on next years VMA Awards. Oh yeah, and did we mention, it was her father’s birthday on Sunday? Happy Birthday Billy Ray!

How about just letting music be about music? instead of another version of going for shock value publicity? We’ve seen this variation of entertainment how many times? really, this is what was conjured up with, or choregraphed? just to gain some kind of traction for some kind of pop culture whateverism? sorry but we’ve been down this road before. and the pavement of said road is rather thin. oh well…
