Touchpaper and Fox IT Announce Strategic Global Partnership

    August 25, 2004

Touchpaper and Fox IT announced a strategic global partnership.

Through this partnership, Fox IT will complement solutions already offered by Touchpaper to existing and prospective customers.

Recent reports from Gartner, Forrester, and Network World have shown organizations gaining tangible benefits from best practice service management techniques. Adoption of ITIL processes within one global service desk operation reduced support costs by 40%, while another achieved substantial savings as a result of improved asset management. Benefits from this type of investment also included an 8% reduction in operating costs and an increase in service levels by over 30%.

“Successful service management requires the effective integration of People, Process and Technology”, Ken Ramsden, Head of Business Development at Fox IT explains. All too frequently IT departments fail to deliver due to a lack of understanding of the business requirements, and a lack of alignment of people and processes to these requirements. The technology is often blamed as the reason and becomes the scapegoat when it is in fact just one third of the equation”.

Ken continues, “Fox IT education, assessment and process implementation services help establish the right IT business aligned environment from which to leverage the extensive Touchpaper product set. This integrated approach enables organizations to achieve business benefits faster and cheaper.”

Graham Ridgway, Chief Executive Officer at Touchpaper adds, “Significant benefits are achieved when technology is implemented into an environment where the other elements of service management are successfully integrated. Bringing our solutions and services together with those of Fox IT forms a unique proposition. This allows companies to address and improve their processes in the right environment, with the right tools and with skilled staff to make it work.”
