The latest Google Earth user report stirring up conspiracy theory and head scratching is the image of a Chinese military site that is a scale replica of the ancient country's border with India, mountains and all.
India and China warred in the early sixties due to a border dispute, which has some wondering when the facility was built and if there are any impending strategies incubating in China.
Authorities agreed it was indeed a scale replica of the border, but did not conclude on its use or origin. While some speculated it could be a tank training area, others contend the terrain is wrong for that type of maneuvering.
Most seem to agree that it is not unusual for a company to have military terrain replicas for training and preparing for a number of scenarios. It is not necessarily a sign of aggression or an indication of potential plans.
