Businesses Can Submit Their Property to Google Street View

Get on the Map...Literally

Google introduced its Street View Partner Program today. This lets organizations and businesses apply to have their property featured in Street View on Google Maps, Google Earth, and Google Maps for Mobile.

"While we can't accept every property into the program, we are committed to providing Street View for as many interesting locations as possible," says Google's Philippe Dauman Jr. "We even built new Street View vehicles, like the pedal-powered Trike, to easily and safely collect locations with pedestrians, delicate terrain, or narrow paths."

Google cites the following benefits of displaying your property in Street View:

- Build your global audience and encourage visitors via the #1 mapping site in the world.

- Add Street View of your location to your website using our API.

- Show off your property to users who might otherwise not be able to visit you.

- Best of all, it's free!

Businesses interested in applying for the partner program can do so from this site. You must be the owner or authorized property manager of the property you're applying for.

On a related note, Google expanded its Street View offerings today by opening up access to imagery from Portugal, Taiwan, Switzerland, and a few previously unavailable US spots.
