Facebook Movie Script Makes Reviewer's Top 10 List

"Sorkin uses some crazy unknown voodoo screenwriting tricks to keep us riveted"

The Facebook movie (which is titled The Social Network at its current stage of development) may be of interest to people outside Silicon Valley, after all.  A professional reviewer has gotten hold of the script and given it high marks.

In response to a comment following his evaluation, Carson Reeves admitted, "It doesn't seem like it would be good.  I had strong reservations going into it for sure."  As part of the review, he also wrote, "I was constantly looking for a base, an obvious story or goal.  And there isn't any."

Aaron SorkinStill, the script was written by Aaron Sorkin, who was responsible for A Few Good Men and The West Wing, and the man seems to have created something special.

It turns out the script has a comedic side, with a fair amount of awkward humor, so it's not like Facebook is being portrayed as the most important thing since the light bulb.  Indeed, the script's focused on human interactions and the people behind the social network.

Reeves concluded, "[T]his script really resonated with me.  Which is why it makes it into my Top 10."  He rated it "impressive," just shy of "genius."
