Positions Go to Leaders from CBS and 24/7 Real Media

The Interactive Advertising Bureau (IAB) announced that its Board of Directors has elected Chairman and Founder of 24/7 Real Media as Chairman. In addition, Neil Ashe, President of CBS Interactive was elected Vice Chairman.

The organization is comprised of over 375 media and tech companies, who are responsible for 86% of online advertising in the US. It's core objectives are to:

- Fend off adverse legislation and regulation

- Coalesce around market-making measurement guidelines and creative standards

- Create common ground with customers to reduce costly friction in the supply chain

- Share best practices that foster industry-wide growth

- Generate industry-wide research and thought leadership that solidifies Interactive as a mainstream medium

- Create countervailing force to balance power of other media, marketing, and agency trade groups

Randall Rothenberg"We are thrilled that David and Neil have taken these leadership positions as Chair and Vice Chair of our Board," says IAB President and CEO Randall Rothenberg. "Dave is eminently qualified after demonstrating a profound commitment to the interactive ecosystem and the IAB as leader and entrepreneur. Neil has unparalleled expertise as a publisher of some of the Web’s best-loved media brands. We welcome their expert contributions and diverse voices."

"I look forward to continuing to serve the interactive industry with my esteemed colleagues and am honored to be the new Chairman of the IAB," says Moore.

Moore has served on the IAB's Board of Directors and its Executive Committee since 2001. He was elected Vice Chairman in June 2008, and became Acting Chair after Wenda Harris Millard resigned in April 2009. Ashe has served on the IAB Board of Directors since April 2007, and replaces Moore as Vice Chairman.

The IAB has recently released guidelines for in-game advertising, social advertising best practices, social media ad metrics, and click measurement guidelines.
